Copperleaf’s RAD Initiative Supports Room To Read and The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup

The Copperleaf® Random Acts of Delight (RAD) Initiative is a fun way for us to support the charitable causes that matter to our people. This June, we gave back to our communities through the following activities:

Room To Read

In Asia Pacific and Japan, our team organized a virtual trivia night to help raise approximately AU$2,500 for Room To Read, a leading nonprofit for children’s literacy and girls’ education across Asia and Africa. Our donation will provide one year of workshops to help teach 40 children to read and write. The trivia competition was tense and after 10 rounds of challenging questions, Phil Keong, one of our Senior Consultants in Australia, was crowned the winner!

Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup

The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is a national conservation program that gives Canadians the opportunity to take action in their communities wherever water meets land. In celebration of World Oceans Day, Copperleafers across the globe participated by cleaning up a local beach, park, or trail—one bit of trash at a time, wherever they are in the world! In Vancouver, our team volunteered to clean up Sunset Beach. This was the fourth time we participated in the shoreline cleanup and it was a lot of fun to get outside together and help conserve this beautiful space!

Caring for our environment is key part of our culture and the Copperleaf RAD Initiative is one of the ways we can give back to our community, our planet and future generations. We strive to leave the world a better place than we found it—through our work, our solutions, and our actions inside and outside of work.

We love giving back to the communities that support us and look forward to seeing what else we can accomplish in 2021! Until next time!

The Copperleaf RAD Initiative allows employees to contribute to local communities in a way that reflects our unique culture. Learn more about the Copperleaf Culture here.
