Copperleaf’s Byron Saunders Named Emission Committee Volunteer of the Year
Vancouver, BC, September 24, 2024—Copperleaf, an IFS company, announces that Byron Saunders, Account Executive, has been recognized as Emission Committee Volunteer of the Year by the GPA Midstream Association. Byron was recognized alongside ten other GPA Midstream committee members who demonstrated outstanding committee participation and significant contributions to the advancement of the midstream industry during the previous year.
He is the Young Professionals Liaison and a key member of the GPA Midstream’s GHG Measurement & Abatement (Emissions) Committee, which is responsible for technical matters concerning the measurement, quantification, and abatement of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and associated environmental impacts that originate from midstream facilities. The group’s aim is to foster discussions about the operational impact that regulations have on the measurement of GHG emissions and the emerging technologies for measuring GHG emissions in different environmental, geographic, and production facility settings.
Byron has over 14 years of experience in the oil and energy industry, joining Copperleaf at the start of 2024. Prior to Copperleaf, he worked with energy software companies including Quorum Software and Flow-Cal Inc.
