Blog Hero Road - Copperleaf Decision Analytics

Webinar Recap: Integrating GIS Data into Asset Investment Planning

One of our recent Product Learning Series webinars focused on the Interactive GIS Experience for the Copperleaf Suite. The session was led by David Cross, Program Manager for Portfolio Scenarios, Optimization, and GIS. Here are the highlights of the webinar content, which explored how integrating GIS data into investment planning can enrich your decision making process.

What is the Interactive GIS Experience?

The Interactive GIS Experience is designed to enhance asset investment planning by integrating advanced geospatial insights with decision analytics. Organizations can gather immensely valuable information from GIS systems, and map-based visualizations of asset data can offer a unique visual context in which to evaluate the impact of different investment options.

This suite option allows users to visualize and select assets on an interactive map, creating and modifying investment geometries directly within the Copperleaf interface. By overlaying critical data unique to your investments onto asset maps, users can make more informed investment decisions. The ability to perform scenario analysis and visualize the impact of different asset strategies in a geospatial context ensures that resources are allocated to the interventions that provide the most value.

During the webinar, David demonstrated how the Interactive GIS Experience can be leveraged to optimize asset management and investment planning. Attendees learned how to use GIS to define the scope of an investment, compare asset sustainment plans using map-based visualizations, edit investment geometries on the map, and more.
